Why? If we wanted a 911, we would have bought those.
And if I wanted a fast track car, there are lots of cars faster than the 911.
Where the 911 wins by a mile is as a reliable daily use fast car, that is good on track, AND is inconspicuous enough to be parked and left anywhere.
The i8 is more special though, by a long way. But it is in no way a track car.
