I actually did remove it Day 1
More because I never eat or drink in my i8. But I noticed how surprisingly heavy it was, so I weighed it.
As an ex-Lotus guy,
weight is everything though. BMW could have done a lot more with the i8 in this respect, especially the easy stuff like the excessively heavy 12v battery.
