Update:
BMW USA has declined to warranty the 12v battery even though it is obviously under warranty. They claim that my removing the battery to charge it since the HV system died is enough cause to void the warranty on the battery... what a load of BS. Im tempted to seek legal action. Its a waste of time probably. But im pissed enough to become a thorn in their side. If I didnt like the car that much I would consider dumping it after repairs are made...
