That's interesting, I had mine checked, and it had even .15lbs more than the stock, they pulled 1.4 from the system and the book states 1.385 is what the system needs.
So apparently mine still makes that noise that some has posted here, the sound of a portable 12v air compressor pump used for emergency road side flat tires. I doubt BMW sold this car with that sound from new, so it is maybe a sign the compressor is starting to fail and eventually leads to the metal fragments breaking off when it overheats.
I had them order the latest version compressor just to be safe so I am not worried to turn on the AC and end up with a $15k repair bill. My only concern is they don't find any metal fragments already in the system when they pull it next week.
