I don't see what all the fuss is about. The i3 looks no different than most of the small hatchback cars you see all over Europe. At least it should be fun to drive with RWD and the instantaneous torque of an electric motor.

If it helps BMW meet the future CAFE standard while keeping some cool cars like the M3 around, I'm all for it. Finally, remember that BMW sold cars like the Isetta and the 700 back in the '50's and early '60's to keep the doors open, so it's been done before.
