The car will look better in person than on those patent images.
Of course, people who don't like this type of car, won't fall in love with it. But for compact electric cars, the classic two-box or three-box design doesn't make so much sense, as the long bonnet isn't needed, but compromises packaging.
Even if you dislike the design, I don't understand how one can't be amazed by the technological approach behind this whole project. For me the i3 is much more interesting than, let's say, the new M3/M4, as you can see on many details, that this project was started from scratch, with much less limitations than usual.
