The i8 is gorgeous but wish the specs weren't so vanilla. The tesla model S has awsome range, performance and the luxury and tech inside are incredible and set it well apart from any car currently out. IMO from what its showing so far i doubt the i8 will beat it in any category besides styling
The i8 is what it is though, a showcase much like the LF-A. technological experience that isn't ground breaking in specs but instead in design and build.Its kinda of like a skeleton watch of sort, tells time like other watches but in a way that it will make the wearer appreciate the craftsman.
All things considered i think its a bit of a three base hit rather than a home-run. Hope BMW continues to stylize the I-series but pushes the envelope with the tech.
