If you take it literally, sure. But what I meant related to applying a metric to something that it was never meant to be measured against.
i.e. I wouldn't complain about a 991 GT3's lack of suspension travel making it useless for a rock crawl. I wouldn't complain that a MP4-12C doesn't have enough space to move furniture, etc. The i8 isn't intended to be direct successor to the M1, it's meant to be a hybrid that people who like sports cars would actually be interested in driving. Of course, if you want a hybrid that's faster than the i8, you can always pony up another $700k-1million+ for a Porsche 918, McLaren P1, or a LaFerrari.
