Sure. I even drove car at gas station from pump to a parking lot where disassembled the cover unit. Then drove back to pump and refueled the car.
Real pain if battery is out and can't refuel?! Without my own help I'd be at service point now, towed by truck. Being a pioneer is not always easy and this was no harm for me. I just wanted to bring this up now. Cover unit is easy to take out manually, so if you face this problem, just take it out and do refuel...
