Not everyone cares nor is even remotely versed with cars- that when they ask what kind of Bmw is it- and responding "an i8" they're left with this clueless look like "ok??"
I've learned to just say "it's one of their hybrid models" to those reactions

So funny but true! I feel that real car enthusiasts know exactly what it is and have more appreciation than ones that don't. It's like deer in the headlights when you say it's an I8 and then comes that brief pause.....🤔 huh?? So I say the same thing after trying to explain what it is. I'm like "it's a hybrid" lol
