What I don't like are those rearfacing cameras instead of proper mirrors. Had one in a rental Cadillac the other day. Utter crap.
#1, there's a noticeable lag on the way from the camera lens to the display. It's annoying and not exactly confidence inspiring when manouvering in tight spaces.
#2, your eyes have to re-focus. Interestingly, eyes that look into a mirror, focus in the distance. So there's no adjustment when glancing from tne road ahead into the mirror. Eyes that look at a display in the same spot, focus on the surface of the display. If that is in the position of the traditional inside mirror (which it was in this case) that can be much closer even than the instrument cluster.
I really got annoyed with the system and turned it off.
