The BMW i8 Spyder Concept first debuted years ago at the
2012 Beijing auto show, but it's now finally becoming reality.
Seen here is the first prototype i8 Spyder, spotted while testing on the Nurburgring. It wears a camouflaged removable roof panel, which we hope will be made of carbon fiber on the production car.
The i8 Spyder is expected to debut in Spring of 2018 after the i8 Coupe is facelifted, so expect the Spyder to debut with the refreshed look and upgraded performance.
