And it's also wierd that Bmw has given the green light to this even tho there are a lot of i8 sitting at the dealers lot.

The only reason they have so many on the lots is because they increased production too much. And because some are waiting for the LCI which was reported to have more power and range. It doesn't mean that the i8 is not desirable.
