A better solution would be to have nothing sticking to the side of the car but to embed the cameras in the body of the car as much as possible to generate a single view pulled from different angles, just like the top and side view cameras. I do love this kind of progress and for those who do not understand the added value are stuck in the old age.
With cameras and software the sky is the limit!
