So gotta say I totally LOVE the i8, however one thing I don't understand is whether the car requires you to both recharge and refuel? If so, isn't that a total pain in the ass?

If you drive in sport mode all the time, you will not need to recharge the battery. If you drive in e-mode then run out of juice, put it in sport mode and 20 min of highway driving will charge it to 10-12 mile range on battery.

You never really have to charge as long as you drive it in sport mode for at least 20 min. I have home charged a few times, but really just for the novelty of it
