Lumma Design Previews its BMW i8 and i3 Styling
BIMMERPOST NEWS Lumma Design Previews its BMW i8 and i3 Styling If the futuristic designs of the i8 and i3 are still too tame for you, Lumma Design is hoping they have a solution. These renderings show their future plans for gussying up the i8 and i3 with some more aggressive aero parts. |

The i8 doesn't look too bad actually. Looks more aggressive. Those wheels do look really good on the i8, though.
The i3 is a lot harder to work with, I imagine, but those wheels look ok. |

So true haha. But I've really warmed up to the way the i3 looks though!

So are they going to replace the CFRP parts with more CFRP, or just plain-Jane composites? Doesn't the convoluted surfacing screw with the aero functionality? Aesthetically speaking, it's a million leagues above Lumma's typical piss poor designs. Anyone else remember that bastardized E92?

Looks like its just a lip addition, and an addition to the bottom of the side skirts. The body colors make it look like more than it is. http://www.gtspirit.com/2014/01/30/b...r=1&vid=758#tp A pic of the stock one to compare with this lumma car

As usual, the i3 looks like crap. But the i8 looks gooood. The comment about Lumma actually putting out something good for once, is spot on. I didn't know these guys were capable of designing good looking parts.
