the car did have the exhaust, however it's just a catback system.
If you look closely, the car in the video is not the same car as on the pictures. We used different i8's for our publicity

So are you certain no gains are coming from the exhaust? A better flowing exhaust than stock could have contributed a lot to that dyno chart.

we measured with stock exhaust & custom exhaust. No difference.
ps. a catback system never gives a significant power gain... whatever the 'producers' are claiming

For the LOVE of God i just place a call to the US shop "wont put their name out there" and $1,800 for the flash, in top of that I will have to pay to get my ECU out "I get that part" (Not a problem another $300-$500 there) since they are not FL base, and my car will be down for 2-3 days lets say at worse case. So couple of questions here...
1. It shows a price of 890 euros which its $988 american dollars, how come in the US magically almost DOUBLES to $1,800 with the distributor you send me to ???? 2. What happens when I need the car Back to Stock mode ? do I need to send the ECU back to the distributor for a re-flash to stock mode ??? Last edited by Amgeater2; 07-07-2016 at 11:49 AM.. |

I was on instagram and saw a video of a i8 getting dyno tuned. Apparently the base line was 200 whp / 212 ft-lb and after tune was 254 whp / 276 ft-lb on the ICE. I'm trying to get more details.
EDIT:They were having issues with the ICE and electric motor communicating with each other. The numbers above was based on ICE and they are looking to solve the issue. Last edited by exclusivedetails; 07-22-2016 at 10:51 PM.. |

Is this possible to make an Vbox tests result for this I8?
0-100km/h, 100-200km/h, 200-250km/h, and 1/4mile with trap speed. would be nice if You place an DBN files and weather conditions (mainly temperature). |

The owner of the tuned car and I are meeting up before mine goes under the knife so we can get a good idea on how much faster the car actually got. He tells me he feels a big difference specially at higher speeds (which is great because that's where I find the car was lacking a bit). He also confirmed that getting the car dynoed the traditional way was virtually impossible because of how the drivetrain is setup. He was able to get a reading for the ICE but since our cars are not true AWD it's not possible to get a good reading from the electric motor on a dyno. I think it's a bit crazy that this car may just be the only car I've heard of that can't be dynoed. Anyways, they're going to try benchmarking the car using another method.
