Drastic cut in power in e-drive

Anyone else experience a drastic cut in power when in e-drive if you try to accelerate too hard? It's not even like I'm trying to launch it necessarily, but if you go over the 50% mark sometimes it will abruptly cut power, and even feels like it's braking. It may be specific to enabling DTC as well.

Yes I have experienced the same. It feels abrupt, as you describe. I believe it's an overly conservative application of DTC. I really enjoy the car overall, but the big weakness for me is this behavior in all electric mode, and the mushy/inconsistent transmission behavior in regular mode. So I drive in sport mode pretty much full time and all is well.

Try it again (hard driving) with Sport Traction and with DSC off while in E mode. I might try that as I'm taking a spin now.

It seems to be worse in Sport Traction mode.

Happens to me if I'm not careful. The electric engine has too much torque, and the lift from the acceleration causes loss of traction and the electronics intervene. You just have to know how far you can push.

Yeah I tried DSC off and it disabled E-mode entirely.

With sport traction I floored it in E-mode and I got the same hesitation and I must have pressed the stoic (kickdown) button because the car automatically changed to Comfort mode and the engine kicked on.

Seems like there is no good way to drive aggressively in E-mode as the stability/traction control intervention is severe.
