Spacers are more suited for aesthetics than performance. It will simply give your i3 a much more aggressive look.

I’ve got a 19 i3S BEV and had the AST springs + MS spacers (12/15) put on just over a month ago. The look cannot be beat. Seeing it in person, especially next to a factory i3, always makes me smile. Personally I think it’s a great modification.
Initially I wasn’t able to get the spacers installed because the ordered part was the wrong hub size. I believe the old hub size was 120mm and the new is 112mm. Not sure what year that started for the i3. Tom and EAS were awesome and got the correct part out within just a few days (CA<>VA). As far as it feels, the ride is slightly more firm without being harsh. And most importantly, NO BOUNCE. I wish I would’ve ordered these as soon as I got the car. Huge shoutout to Tom and EAS for being fantastic. This was my first time working with EAS and I’m definitely going to be a return customer. Treat yo’self and place your order. |

Same here - I really wish I'd had a set of these on my previous i3.

Any other feebacks on H&R ?
Thinking on lowering my i3, and in my country AST are not sold. And springs must be street legal |

Does anyone know the spring rates of either of these setups, and/or the motion ratios of the i3?
The i3 is very pitchy at the limit, imo-- I suspect it is not flat ride from the factory, and might have dramatically improved limit behavior by being changed to flat ride... but I can't find anyone who actually post the rates of their springs (which seems crazy to me...).

Neither H&R or AST list spring rates on their site.

ASTs good whether REX or BEV? I was leaning towards the Megan Racing coilovers until I found out they are BEV only...
My 2017 REX needs something. Also, anyone run these with wider than factory tires?

Doesn't the "S" already still 10mm lower stock? What is the NET drop in that case, only 15mm instead of 25mm? Just trying to figure out what the real 'gains' will be here. It sounds like 10% stiffer than stock and a net 15mm drop from the stock i3S/REx setup my '18 has right now. Is that correct? |

Lowering has no measurable effect on range.

I just installed the ASTs on my 2017 i3. Bought them from Tom at european auto source and I am extremely happy with the customer service. I could've saved extra $40 if I chose an alternative vender but his support throughout the process was incredible. Additionally, the photos they have included in forums really tell the story.
The springs + spacers (12mm front & 15mm rear) arrived super fast (west to east coast during covid and holidays) and yesterday I had a chance to install them. The front took me 2 hours 20min and the rear almost 4.5 hours (including two trips to autozone). First of all, I want to say, I don't own a garage, so everything was done in my DC backyard. I was surprised that the rear had a lot more going on and space was very limited. Additionally, BMW decided to introduce torx bolt on the rear suspension so I had to make two trips to autozone to get the necessary tools. Overall, I like the look and that's how it should've rolled out from the factory, in my opinion. It's not aggressive at all. I wasn't looking for a slammed i3 for various reasons. I have not tested the handling at a highway speed yet nor cornering, but I am happy to report back if anyone is interested. |

Wheel spacer question?
Will the MS wheels spacers that fit my 2018 I3 fit a 2020 I3? One of the members here wrote that the center hub has changed. Thanks

If you have a used set of spacers from a MY18 i3, it will work on a MY20.

No 20mm, sorry. IMHO, it's much too wide for i3 as the tires will push past the fenders.
