Great write up above, the 1 thing I didn’t notice or I just missed it, was the miles per year, is that annual allowance 10k or 12k?

Glad it was helpful! My lease is for 7500 miles. If you open the leasehackr link, it has every single parameter explained.

And IIRC, the annual mileage steps just change the residual by a percent, right? Like isn't 7,500 54%; 10,000 53%; and 12,000 52%?

Almost, 7.5K residual is now 55%, 10K is 53, and 12 is 52, if I recall correctly.

Current lease offer

The current December lease deal is $699 per month.

MSRP $90,595 (My build is around $102k though)
Dealer contribution $4,000
BMW contribution $9,900
Down payment $4,755 plus 1st pmt of $699 and lease acquisition $995.
Adjusted cap cost $71,940

Term 36 months/10k miles per year

Residual value $48,821

Depreciation: Adjusted cap cost of $71,940 - residual value $48,821 = $23,119 / 36 = $642.19 per month in depreciation. So $56.81 in interest. ($56.81 x 12) = $681.72/71,940 = .9476% annual interest?

So how does this seem as far as being a deal?

ilya4min exxxviii thebishman thank you all for your input. I wanted to share where we landed...

We ended up pulling the trigger on an iX lease yesterday (assuming the car arrives at the dealer before Jan 2). They have one in-transit that hits all of our criteria + some and has a MSRP of $99.5K. In addition to the $9,900 national rebate, they did a dealer discount of about 6%, basically $500 above wholesale + they did some sort of local tax incentives which knocked another $2,500 off + threw in ceramic tint. Overall, bout $17.5K off MSRP, which felt pretty good.

MF was .0009 (I tried for .0005). They ended up offering $3-5K more for the X5 trade-in than expected. We took $13K of that and put it towards the lease payment, $16K to the outstanding loan and then will pocket $14K. All in all, that brings the lease to $750/mo with 15K miles/yr.

All in all, this worked out for our situation and what we wanted, so we're pretty happy about. Thanks again for all the advice in this thread, very helpful. Now just fingers crossed the car shows up this month...

I thought lease credits etc all locked, so why do you need it this month?

I got the impression that after Jan 2, if the promos changed, our price wouldn't be locked. But maybe I misunderstood or he wasn't right.

Your CA is right, and you understood correctly. The December lease program for the iX is not lockable, so if the car gets delivered past Jan 2nd then you’ll get whatever leasing rates are applicable to Jan ‘24.

This is only true for X5. For iX both lock rebate and rate are locked in for 4 months (3 months by default and 1 month possible extension).

smithf80 can confirm this for you. Also, you can connect with him, he can beat any deal you are getting from your local dealership.

I had a dealer show me a list of non-lockable programs for Dec ‘23, and that included the MF rates for the xDrive50 and M60.

If you have a credible source that says otherwise, I’d love to know cos I’d like to lock my rates in.

smithf80 Could you confirm which is correct pls? Thanks!

This month will be an extremely busy time for him and he may not pay attention to this forum. Please contact him on leasehackr. He also has a BMW December 2023 update post. Please connect with him there.

The non-lockable lease rates have nothing do with the iX50, that program is lockable.

Just signed my lease for iX 50. Details below

MSRP: $96,500
National Tax Rebate: $9,900
% Off MSRP: 12%
Money Factor: 0.0009 (tried for 0.0005, but failed)
Residual: 54% (10K/ 3 years)
MSD: 7x (maximum)

Capitalized all payments into lease for $0 at signing.

Monthly payment including dealer fees, taxes, and DMV fees = $812/month. I believe this excludes the disposition fee of $495 at end of lease (I didn't ask about that).

Thoughts?

Is the MF after MSDs or before?

Hm.. this must be a wrong list, then? It looks like it’s from BMW’s system, though. I really hope you’re right!

MF is prior to MSDs.

The dealer said prior to the Nov/ Dec deal, they were willing to do 0.000111 MF because BMW was giving them a cash bonus in lieu of a markup. Now, BMW no longer gives a cash bonus so the dealer has to markup the MF to the max (0.0009). I don't know if this is true or just trying to convince me to accept 0.0009.

Yeah, not sure if that is true or not. I locked in base MF plus max MSDs (so at around 0.00008 MF I think in the end).

Is this for M60 or iX50? The latter should be at (0.0009 - 0.00042 = 0.00048) with max MSDs, and M60 would be (0.00151 - 0.00042 = 0.00109).

50. Base of 0.0005 - 0.00042 = 0.00008? That is what I got.

What was the % off MSRP? I see you are in New England - which dealer was it?

I wonder if you got less off MSRP, they were willing to go down to base rate.
