Don't forget, the person in front of me cancelled, so I jumped a spot.

I'm guessing no production number yet, correct? Still status 47.

yes I have a vin. I tried to enter it in the BMW app but it's still too early for that. I've been reading a lot of people talk about tracking the car in mygarage... I've seen people say it stays in "scheduled for production" for 2-3 weeks and then all of a sudden, all steps are done. I've seen comments that it could be 8 weeks till delivery from this point, and others that say 4. I need to start getting prepared to unload my tesla, not sure if I'm going to trade it in or sell it out right.

How about Carmax, Carvana or Vroom? Too much hassle to sell to private party, but who knows these days.

I changed my order a month back from the 20's to 19's. I was having an internal tussle on the extra range and head won over heart! Still I specced the comfort pack and Carbon trim inside instead.

Portamao Blue
Vernasca Tacora red leather
Carbon trim
Comfort pack
Tech plus pack
Visibility pack

Scheduled for week 27 July. status 112

I went with the 19's over the 20's for the extra durability. 20's just sound like it's only a matter of time before they get damaged.

I was thinking outright because there are so many tesla fan boys out there that I thought I could find someone to pay a premium. I also have it wrapped, after marked rims, added wireless charging, tinted windows, a lot of things that a dealership might not take into consideration that a fanboy might gush over

Oh, yes! Lots of fan boys and girls that would go after that spec. Looks good!

Exterior exactly like mine… waiting to see what they are saying this week about production timing. Last week it was week 22.

Just called BMW Genius again and they confirmed my build week is still 23. Hopefully, that won't change.

I talked to the Genius and funny enough he says my car still has a "proposed week 21" even though it was moved from "scheduled for production" to order received.

He didn't have any idea what is going on.

I guess it's just waiting now.

So, how long did it take to assemble?

Probably just a single day. If you watch the videos of the manufacturing line, a car is assembled from modular pre-assembled components.

I was in "production started" for a week, and then it was assembly line and paint booth one day, and then paint booth the whole next day, and then today, the entire car is done and waiting for a boat.
