Never really was a fan of these POV road tests, but looks like an amazing car regardless.

Not a fan of the reviewer and his content. Perhaps it's just me

Agree, the first 5 minutes are tough. The in car review is better. I could plug the key in myself... not that big of a stretch. In sport sounds a lot like a Subie STi.... not sure I learnt much more though... cool colour nonetheless.

If the red was only as sharp & menacing as Acura's pretty much candy red NSX...

US versions of the Protonic Red i8 did not get the red seat trim, which really made the interior special. I have no idea why...

I certainly agree with the reviewer's complaints about the Gear indicator

I like the carbon bits in the Protonic version

His comments about charging the DisplayKey are mostly irrelevant. I charge mine wireless on a standard wireless pad, plugged into my PC's USB occasionally. That's all it needs, once every couple of months.

Are the interior carbon bits cheap fake stuff or genuine carbon fiber?

Genuine. I like it because it's textured rather than the typical smooth finish that can sometimes look fake.

I hope the refresh has an interior w more carbon. And there's nothing worse than fake carbon accents or poorly laid visible CF.
