Lowering an i3
Some photos from yesterdays antics.
Hated the stock ride height, had to get it lower ASAP! The ride is firmer, but only marginally as with the spring rates so low, the dampers have more of an effect on comfort than the springs. High speed stability and turn in are vastly improved. The dampers could do with a touch on the rebound, but only a tiny amount, I can live with them as they are. If you're thinking of getting this done, don't think, just get it done. Andrew |

How does the camber look now? I know the rear wheels already have some negative camber with the factory springs (and the inner parts of my Sport tires are wearing out quickly with barely 1000 miles on them).
Can you take some pictures of your car from behind on either side, point down the side of the body so we can see the camber now? |

Will get some more photos guys. Will get camber measurements. Will also report back with tyre wear, but I don't expect any more than with stock springs. Very surprised to hear such wear rates! I would be looking at getting an alignment done (too much toe out on the rear).

We had this done to my GF's new i3 before delivery. Same H&R springs.
The dealer did the job and the alignment showed no adjustments were needed. All angles were still well within spec. It is only a 20mm drop (30mm rear) so it is real subtle, but needed.. |

Looks good. Thanks for the new pics.
It looks like adding 15mm or 20mm spacers in the back will make the i3 have a more aggressive stance (similar to what I did with my E92 years ago on the stock wheels). |
