Custom Akrapovic Exhaust on BMW i8

The i8 wasn't designed to be heard.... It should probably stay that way. It's an amazing car, but you really can't make 3 cylinders sounds expensive and exotic. A Fiat Abarth sounds way better than this. Keep it stock.

Plus, the tri-tip layout is too close to what they're making in Maranello.

But I like the enthusiasm. A for effort!

Although I agree with everyone that it sounds slightly "civicish" I really like the concept.

Wish it was made with the sound in mind.
Think aftermarket companies are going to fix this issue. Seems like they've started and I hope they are able to make it into something special.

Love the design effort, however it sounds just like my Abarth. Not sure I want my i8 sounding exactly like my Fiat. Do like the idea of a custom exhaust though.

Absolutely love the 3-tip look.
But yeah. Would not get one if I had an i8.

Why isn't the i8 supposed to be heard? I think it deserves and needs some aftermarket attention. This sounds pretty good to me!

Interesting point. Strange how my i8 actually has a more pleasant tone stock vs stock than my M6 with its big TTV8 and all. Don't see the harm in trying to amplify that.
