Do you drive in the rain?
When it rains out, do you take your i8 out?
Just curious. It's rained a couple of times since I got mine and I just drive my other car and keep the i8 garaged. |

Same here, my daily driver too. It`s not made of sugar so it should be fine.
Joking apart because its all made from composites and carbon, it will probably stand the rain much better than it`s metal clad rivals ? |

If I have a long trip I will take it out in the rain, but if I am driving some place locally for a short errant, I will not because I don't want to deal with washing the car.

Yes, it is my Daily Driver.
As was said above, and by me on numerous occasions: It's not made of sugar. It won't melt. It's a car. It's not fragile sculpture. It's fun and fantastic and wonderful. It's the silliest thing I've ever purchased. I have over 15,000 miles on it. I take it everywhere. I've shipped it halfway across the Pacific, just so I could drive it around Maui. I lend it to (certain) friends, so they can experience it as well. I take it on road trips. I've autocrossed it. I've driven it hard and fast on Laguna Seca raceway. It loves entering the braking zone into the turn two hairpin at 113mph (and that's with a depleted battery). Wheeeeeee!!! I don't have enough money to buy cars and NOT drive them.

I drive it as daily , I have driven it in rain a few times and handling is very balanced too ,not to mention the merits of 4X4 on slippery surfaces

It goes out in all kinds of weather. Just like the Postal Service: Neither snow nor rain nor heat nor gloom of night stay this man from swiftly driving his i8 ... ;-) But hail I'm trying to stay away from.
