battery distance

I have been very surprised with my Active Tour 225xe over our mild winter battery milage is as low as 17 miles and now we are well into spring its 23 miles and won't be long before it will be 26 miles which is maximum.

Thats a 45% difference

I would hate to own battery cars in the cold parts of America. They would be a total wast of time.

What has owners found with the i3 battery distance,

You're like a religious sect who cannot take criticism.

If your asking about the impact of cold then yes we get about 60miles range in winter and 80miles in summer - which is close to your 25% drop. There is a very good article of an i3 owner running his car in the Alps over winter with no issues have a look at it..

As long as to pre condition the battery the 60 mile range in freezing weather is obtainable.

The worst I ever got was 50 mile range when it was negative 15 degrees outside. And that was having the heat set at 80. If I drop the heat to say 64 which feels warm at those temps than it climbs back up.

But you need to pre condition. If not it will be worse. But still it never left me stranded. Or needing more mileage.

The batteries on the i3 can heat themselves and cool themselves so their always running in optimum temperature. But what you do to cool the car and heat the car is the game changer.

I tend to keep it at 68 year round.
