Who wants custom tailored mats for i8 (UK)?
I have been trying to source custom tailored car mats for my i8, in the UK.
Simplycarmats.co.uk supplied me some great car mats for my i3, which I have been pleased with. I asked them for i8 ones, but they do not know the measurements. They are willing to supply though. They are located in Cornwall and Nottingham. I am in Kent. Is there any i8 owner on here, located in Cornwall or Nottingham, who would be willing to visit them, to have their car measured please? We could all easily get mats custom made then, and at very affordable prices. |

Won't be long now
One of the i8 owners here who is close to Cornwall sent me a PM, offering to get his car measured
I have put him in touch with the company, so we should all be able to get some good car mats custom tailored to fit, very soon |

PS:
Here is the link to the i3 ones I bought: http://www.simplycarmats.co.uk/bmw-i...mats-13585.htm I bought mine in black with a blue edge trim, to match the car's blue trim. I'd get the same colours for the i8 Perhaps with "i8" embroidered on them. |

Hi I'm from Cornwall and regularly drive down as far as Penzance if that helps
I've got black mats with blue stitching was expecting more from the extra paid for the interior Carum Grey option, so would be intetested in something better |

Thanks Purple, I will send you a PM too. Then hopefully it will prove easy enough for one of you to see the company and get the i8 measured

Do ask them to measure for both fronts and rears I did email them to say this, but just in case they forget the rears - where we currently have no carpet protection at all. PS. just noticed you have a Lotus Carlton. Very collectable now |

Still only limited progress on this, as Simply Car Mats have not received their templates back yet
We are making progress though, as they are now on their site: Set of 4 mats, from £26.99 https://simplycarmats.co.uk/bmw-i8-car-mats-13832.htm Boot mats also available: https://simplycarmats.co.uk/bmw-i8-c...-2233-3336.htm |

JasH Im speaking to the guy in the states, who is mentioned somewhere in this forum. I am in the process of getting the RHD templates to him. PM your private email if you want some more details inc costings. He's not cheap but his work looks nice. I was thinking of letting Santa get me them for being a good boy!!

I think at the price, the UK ones in my link are the way I will go. But thanks
I recall the US ones were extremely expensive. Plus there is the shipping and tax on top. |

My new custom mats just completed, I wanted something that will lighten up the foot wells. Time will tell if I can keep them clean
