Clear See-Through plexiglas for the i8 3cyl engine

The i8 is an impressive car by all counts. and the science underneath the "hoods" are fascinating- I wonder why BMW does not offer a See-Thru Heat shield for the rear engine as an option. or make the front hood a bit easier to open.
Many of use invested a lot into our I8 and all the above can help appreciate the value-just like the cited 0-60 we all know the i8 can cover this sub 4.0

Because the engine is not pretty.

And because there is nothing an owner needs under the hood.

Agreed. A lawnmower engine is better looking than the i8’s three-banger. It would be embarrassing to park that next to a Ferrari showing off its V12 with all the beautiful pipeworks. But in the spirit of fake engine sound, maybe one of the aftermarket people on here would like to produce a replacement engine cover for the i8 with a V12 hologram on it. Would be more tempting than all the Vorsteiner body stucko being advertised here all the time.

I know every one agrees that the 3 banger cannot be much
but bmw build 4 cyl motorcycle and those engines look sharp— just saying..

I love the I8 and had mine upgraded with a stage 1 Essing chip and added an Fi Exhaust Bluetooth controlled -the car sounds so much better with the extra ponies ondemand -
