The main battery was full but the first thing that happened when I rolled out of the garage was a message that the battery (12V) wasnīt properly charged. I read somewhere that the 12 volt battery only charges when the car is on? |

The manual states you shouldn't charge the 12v battery using normal methods (booster cables for example as it charges from the high-voltage battery). I had mine replaced when the sat nav kept re-booting, seems to have done the trick. If leaving the car for months plugged into a type 2 charger, I'd be tempted to at least lock/unlock it occasionally or run the pre-conditioner, maybe this will spur it into topping up the the 12v battery as well !
