i5 is a FCV?
Don't know if this is the apropriate place or not. But anyway...
Autocar reports i5 being a FCV. http://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/ne...gen-fuelled-i5 I certainly hope this is just a false rumor. Maybe scott26 can comment? |

It is inevitable that BMWi will indeed offer Fuel Cell Technology through the more mature stages of the brand.
But first BMW will preview the Technology in a vision concept that previews the next phase of The Gran Turismo series in early 2015. In which it will be the lead in model for the next 5er Gran Turismo which utilises the same attributes as the F07 but joins its brother the 3er GT by being based on the next generation extended 5er architecture for increased room to retain and progress its first class ambience. The stretched wheelbase also allows much sleeker proportions than today's car especially at the rear. The Fuel Cell technology is also expected to be offered with the next 5er GT as an additional model , aswell as eDrive. The new car is similar to here and incorporates the new design language for BMW and the language that will reflect future Gran Turismo models.

If the next GT loses the current headroom and ease of ingress and egress, it won't be in my scope of possibilities...IOW, lower is not a good thing for me! FCV isn't currently viable, either, since there are so few refueling stations, but I suppose that could change.
