5.2 Mi/Kwh ?

Hello All
Its thawing out here in the Northeast, and we had some 60 degree weather this past week. I had charged my '15 REX to full on one of those warm days and reset the trip meter. Been very good with a light foot. That is not too hard, as I am on an island, 10 miles across, and all the summer road work is being done in anticipation of the summer masses. So I have run about 35 miles carefully and am currently at 5.2 Mi/Kwh. My average speed is just under 16 mph. Pretty much best case, but it could go higher with another 10 degrees of temp. I know I am supposed to "blow out the pipes in a BMW", but this is just another facet. I did have the latest software updated about 3 months ago. So this is pretty much best case. Anyone else had a similar experience? Befpre the weather got warm, 4.4 was about as good as I could get. This is all with no pre-conditioning, other than what was done during the full charge.

BTW: when I got the car, it was a lease takeover, the prior owner had logged 3.2 mi/kwh, so I know the meter is probably ok.

For a REX, that's pretty good.
Congrats on enjoying your car in nice weather!

My old '14 REX averaged 4.3 m/kWh across 25K miles, 2 summers and 2 winters.
Winter #s were in high 3.x range, summer in high 4.x, with occasional 5.x trips.

My best ever in REX was 100.5 miles on full charge. That's 94% of full 18.8 kWh battery charge (before REX kicks in a 6%) = 100.5 / 17.672 = 5.69 mi/kWh.

On my current '17 BEV, consumption is ~ 25% lower (due to lower weight).
5.x and 6.x mi/kWh drives are the norm.

Consumption is highly seasonal, and conditional on speed and types of roads driven.
If your PO was mostly highway commuting to work in the winter, then 3.2 mi/kWh is about right.
Otherwise, he/she had a heavy right foot.

Since the speed limit on island is 35 mph, and no hiways, I think she had a heavy right foot!

Maybe she was trying to escape the island?
