I think it’s unrelated to which profile is signed into the car. It could’ve just been a defective EA charger (not uncommon).

It is tied to the vehicle itself. Not the BMW account. Make sure it is toggled on in the contracts within the iDrive charging menu. I think you just hit a dud honestly this time. Shouldn't have to pull out your phone at all.

At the EV station by Bank of America inn Kingston, NY, from 55% to 80% in 20 minutes.
It took several calls to EA support, working with 3 "product specialists" at dealership, hlad it's done.
Finally heard back from EA today, they said they fixed the problem and sure enough when I went out to the car the contract was there.
Perseverance worked. I wasn’t going to bother but after seeing your posts figured I would follow up with EA

Problem solved.
