How does the pull ahead program work exactly? On the 20th Ill have 3 months left on my 5 series. Are there any limitations on what vehicles you have to get into for it to apply? Also do you apply for the the car you are interested in first and then return?

My experience was that BMW FS agreed to eat as much as 6 months if you leased or bought a new anything BMW. I turned in my 650i Gran Coupe and got an M4, and did so 6 months early.

No. I decided I wanted to get rid of the GC, walked into the dealer and took the M4 that was available and had HUD. (I also wanted the carbon fiber top but got a sunroof. Well, you can't have everything. The M4 without a sunroof didn't have HUD. And HUD is a must have.) The lease people at Bob Smith BMW in Calabasas took care of the rest and got the last 6 months lease payments eaten by BMW FS.

Are you sure you got BMW FS to pay the remaining 6 months of your lease? Or did the dealership eat 3 of the 6 months from the profit they had in the deal.

I thought you could turn in your car anytime within the 6 months of your contract expiring, but BMW FS will only pay the last 3 months in the lease pull ahead program. And not the full 6. Can someone verify this please?

FYI, BMW Financial does not have a true pull-ahead where they waive payments. All pull-ahead programs are the dealers buying the car back from you which effectively ends your lease, thus "waiving" your remaining payments.

I'm sure it was BMW FS. I was sent an email by BMW FS. And the dealer told me it was not eating any of the lease payments (notwithstanding what the poster above me has written). This was in April 2015.

Just FYI got confirmation that the pull ahead is 3 months not 6 months anymore.
