Excellent point(s), I should have been more specific, those brakes look tiny behind those big wheels. My 19's make my rear brakes look little too.

As an enthusiast, you don't need to love this car...but you need to appreciate that this car and the BMWi sub-brand are creating scale for light-weight hybrid composites that will be leveraged by M and eventually, main-line BMWs.

To that end - this is a BMW. Forward thinking, demand satisfying and to a certain type of driver (hyper-miller, perhaps) fun to drive.

Bring on my CFRP-heavy M2.

Well said. IMHO BMW is building a strong moat against its competitors. I can't wait to see CRFP in next generation 1/3/5/7-series!

well said. I've been thinking the same. Looking forward to the CFRP making its way through the line. I'd LOVE a M2 or for that matter a 435i in CRFP ~Frost

I've been seeing unbadged active e's here and there around NNJ. Would love to chat with an owner about their experiences... no one I know has one yet.

I've had mine since January 2012 and live in Morris County, just PM me. You can even take it for a drive if you want.

Im going a bit OT here, but I heard you ended up in an accident. howd the car hold up? And more importantly are you ok?
A minor fender bender! I'm OK, the car really protected me well. Unfortunately it sacrificed itself in the process. BMW got me another ActiveE already.

Most people that buy an EV have that same "It'll be my 2nd car" thought but you talk to them a year later and they say it quickly became their primary vehicle that they do 95% of their driving in.
