Spotify issue in IX
The music keeps cutting off and on while I’m listening to Spotify. Has anyone else had the same issue? Thanks
My software is 3/2024.XX. |

It’s a CarPlay thing. Have you tried restarting the system by holding the volume button until the screen goes dark and then lights up again? Do this while parked. There are all sorts of issues I’ve had in general, volume too low, music cutting in and out and it was on all the versions of software.

The onboard Spotify needs some love from the engineers. It could be 1000x better. Rather BMW gave skeleton bones with no meat on them. I had it cut out during a "Jam session" with friends in the car as we kept adding songs to the playlist (activate Jam session on your phone app first and it transfers over to the car). I have never experienced this on my own listening and still prefer the carplay set up of Spotify. I would attempt a soft reset of the system with the volume button as described already.

I have problems with spotify too since a month or so. I use the BMW build in spotify so i do not think it is a carplay thing. The problem that i am having is that sometimes it will only play the first song of a album or playlist. When i go to the next song it will maybe play a couple of seconds from that one, and then jump back to the first song.
At first i thought it was maybe a internet connection thing, but now i believe it is not related to the internet connection. The strange thing is that it does not happen always.... |
