i8 Horn
I find the horn on my car to be very weak - it emits something of a 'meep' instead of the usual BMW powerful 'parp'.
Is this a weigh/power saving thing, or is mine broken? |

I have the same issue and the BMW dealer confirmed one of the horns is broken causing distorted "toyish" honk.
Parts have been on order over a month ago, but so far the dealer hasn't called me yet... |

Thanks all for the feedback. My local dealer indulged me in a 'horn off' over the phone today. Their i8 has a proper sonorous toot compared to mine, and the conclusion is it's broken. Going in on Monday to be fixed.:-)

Sorted - my low tone horn was broken, now replaced and my car has a proper 'parp' once again!
Luckily it wasn't the high tone as this is on back order from Germany. Full marks to Lancaster BMW in M-K for speed of service and i8 courtesy car! |

My i8 sounds just like my i3, just one horn, not dual. I assumed that's just the way they are. Looks like I might be wrong. The horn is supposed to sound like a real BMW horn?
BTW: I replaced the dinky single horn on the i3 for a dual euro horn. |
