Part number decode for head unit

Hi,

First post. I'm rebuilding a mini cooper SE and though you folks can help.

The head unit is burnt and it's part number 65-12-5-A7A-178

I have istp but I'm not super great at it. Is there a way to see what similar part numbers would work. The part number I have is really hard to find any info on.

eBay has several units from minis that look similar but the part numbers are all over the place.

If I get a unit with the same connector, from a late model mini, can I just reprogram it with the features I have...or what if it had features I don't have like the hud?

Any tips?
