I might just order a used ABS/DSC module to see if things change.

Avdept, you’re right about the leads on that connection being broken on the terminal when the pyro fuse blows. I pulled apart the terminal I have on the car now and it was hard to see at first, but when the pyro fuse blows, it knocks the loop apart for that connector.

Sure, I ordered this one 34526890796

Be careful if you decide to order DSC assembly off eBay. They might have different part numbers and you might lose some of functionality your car has

Glad you found it. In order to bypass it, you can just short the connector that connects into positive terminal which goes to those leads. Thats how I tested my idea.

Ordered a replacement ABS DSC from Pacific Motors in Michigan. They were able to verify that it will work for my 2016 year. With programming of course. Great business to deal with. They always have I8 parts for reasonable prices and great service even for freight items.

Unfortunately the replacement DSC didn't fix the issue. Im still not getting a connection with the EME or LIM module. I ran a test on ISTA and there is not communication with either.

Here is the list of faults.

Did the x5 cable end up working for the i8? Need to replace my pyrofuse & just ordered a 2016 x5 cable but noticed it looks a bit shorter

No, i8's has different internal structure inside red cover. Check picture above. There's extra 2 wires which breaks when fuse blows. You need i8's positive cable(new, used won't restore extra blown wires)

Can you show screenshot of network? That's where subnets are displayed. Is there any red subnet or all yellow?

Yellow is fine, thats a sign of errors. But reds - means it car has no connection to according module. In your case you don't have EME connection. SO I'd start with checking fuses and relays. Then check wires(find where the module installed) and if wires are fine - well than you'll need to replace EME module. I did quick google and found local company https://bmw-power.com.ua/en/services...me-repair.html

As they state typical faults are:

* No communication with ECU
* Does not work
* Battery not charging

It looks like EME module is kinda expensive, checked Ebay and it can go up to $2k, so I'd try to look for local BMW services who could repair your EME module.

Also you're missing LIM module, but thats not really a problem until you'll need to code headlights to your car.

There was some physical damage to the EME. When I was doing the install I noticed that the pin connector on the EME side was slightly pushed in. The high voltage connectors were fine and the case was fully intact so I didnt think too much of it at the time. But the connector not making full contact or internal damage from that connector might be the issue. Ill play with the connector to see if I can get it to seat better. Not really looking forward to pulling the entire front drivetrain again, but I might have to.
