Interior - Little known fact. Amongst sports car competitors i8 has the largest front cockpit due to the positioning of the pillars allowing a minimalist dash area and generous front passenger room.

Interior Dashboard.
The interior of the i8 is a precursor to the next generation of BMW interiors.
The layering concept started with the BMW 1er and has continued to progress as shown with the new BMW X5.
The next 7er derives its look from the i8 dashboard for a more modern , minimalist use. There will be surfaces , a complete de-cluttering of switchgear and a larger central screen which will stand upright in the centre of the dash giving the appearance of a flat screen TV in a minimalist but thoroughly modern environment. The new 7er will be BMWs most technically advanced car yet and every aspect will reflect that.

In the meantime when the holidays conclude it will be back to prep for the BMW i8 media and first drives in the 1st quarter of 2014.

Sick, as usual.

I've been enjoying this series of videos, they are very well done.

Thanks for posting.

It is hard for me to see where this fits. Supercar looks, good but not great performance. Is it more pretense than substance? A child of regulatory excess.

Wow, BMW really screwed up here. They made the i8 too beautiful, lol!

The Lambo Aventador and Pagani Huayra have Supercar looks (and performance).

The i8 is BMW's take on a future sports car, not a supercar. It just looks so awesome it keeps getting thrown in with the supercars.

This is the way I see it, anyway.

We don't actually know what the actual performance numbers are as of yet. All we know is what BMW has stated as the 0-60 and we know that number is conservative as usual.

I'm all for CFRP chassis, but those door sills are hilariously large. i8 passengers are going to hate ingress/egress.

You guys should give the car to Chris Harris to test it out. So curious to know how it drives. That'll be the biggest thing when buying a car that looks like this and is 135k(gt3 money).
