Really grateful to BMW

I’d like to offer my thanks to BMW for saving me so much money !
I’m not remotely interested in the new i8 Roadster with its complete lack of luggage space , making it useless for long distance trips . The updated Coupe has so little improvement over my existing car, I can save a small fortune and simply keep my existing i8 , which has been great despite my local dealers comically bad service ! Happy Christmas fellow owners !

We should definitely be thankful since the value of our machines have already depreciated plenty. Don't need another reason......so enjoy Christmas LoL

Very true post. i8 seems more odd with the "update". Not sure what would cause someone to buy into the next generation.

Just milkin the established production line. Nissan is best at this.

I8 sales are low, which is more bad than good. And the update may make a slight short term difference, it won’t matter in the long term, however. If long term sales are too low, BMW may stop i8 production. I hope I’m wrong.

Delectable collectible

Current i8 owners could only hope BMW terminates production because it would make existing cars all the more collectible.

With renderings of an all electric i8 out there, it will be interesting to observe what will actually materialize in terms of performance, all electric and other versions still to come. Either way, a great and rather interesting corner of the market compared to the traditional M versions.

I don’t want the i8 to be a collectible relic of the past. I want it to be that car that will always be around with newer technology and bold designs.
