2019 i8 Roadster and Coupe Pricing Guide

BIMMERPOST
     Featured on BIMMERPOST.com
My dealer locked in my Roadster order on Feb 1. Teraworld Copper, Teraworld Copper interior, 20 inch jet black wheels and Laserlight. One of the 200 "First Edition" vehicles (I think)...

I'm signed up for the BMW Group Ring/Spa trip at the end of July so this might very work out for a perfect Euro Delivery...

Nothing says "confidential" so here is the recently published pricing guide for Coupe and Roadster.

Congrats!

Did you pay sticker or did you pay a mark-up?

I've had a $1000.00 reservation with my dealer for over a year and a half for their first roadster allocation.. The agreement was MSRP.

So are the turbine wheels really no longer offered?

I am surprised that they are not offering slightly larger wheel options with the LCI.

And evanevery - congratulations on the forthcoming i8!

That is correct. I have a contact at BMWNA and he confirmed that the turbine wheels have been discontinued, at least in the U.S.

Congrats.... gonna be a sweet ride. Pricing is a bit crazy to me but it ought to keep the roadsters pretty exclusive which is good news

Congrats.

I don't suspect they'll sell many at that price though.

Most of us received massive discounts off msrp. My lease cap cost was something like $25k below its $148k msrp. If you want to be the first then I guess that comes at a (massive) premium.

Should have waited for the dealers to have stock that they can't get rid of to get a huge discount. The i8 is not worth MSRP.

Yup.

I'm not sure how common this is but I've heard of people getting i8s marginally higher lease rates as M4s. If you really into tech or just want the flashiest car you can get, that's super compelling.

Well OP wanted one of the exclusive "first 200" edition cars. I doubt many vehicles with this color combination will be sent to dealers.

Not arguing, but OP (me) didn't REALLY want one, just thought I might get one cause of the early order.

There's alot to be said about NOT getting one of the early production models (at least that's what I'm telling myself). I did make another post wondering about where all those first 200 went...

In any case - I don't believe there is any restriction on these colors. They are available through the std order process.

Wont be long my friend. But might want to lease. I think my lease payoff is around $110 now and I'm hearing it's worth $60 on trade in lol. Makes more sense to just make the small monthly payments going forward and turn it back in to bmw at lease end in a year.

Damn there's about 20 other cars I'd buy in that price range before an i8. Nice looking car but damn!

I'm sorry but for 163k you can get a few supercars.

This is a 100k Car at most, these prices are not justified.

It's a slow 7 year old design

My opinion

All the negative sentiment, on a BMW FORUM no less, is all that needs to be told....

If BMW made it a legit performer, it would have been a much cooler car. I see it as a beach cruiser.

OP, more power to you. No hate. I guess I just have a firmer grip on my cash...
