Rant: Front lip is too low

Rubbed it against a curb again

This time it caught the edge a little...luckily nearly inconspicuous, but apparently I still need to improve my skills before the springs go on

Sorry...just thought I'd post a random light-hearted vent.

I actually think clearance is pretty good, it is a super car after all.

Ha...well, first one for me. Granted, I had a lowered 335i for a couple years, and naturally as soon as I got carbon fiber splitters I cracked those. That's why I'm hesitant to get the Vorsteiner lip.

I had the lowest end of the right side of the bumper cover had curbed too . Yes, there is 360 view camera but it's not like G11/12's laden with different angles .I think when you park the car against pavements you better switch on to the overhead view but it's overestimating things must be due to safety or prevent any unwanted rubs ,scrapes , grinds ...

Use the front camera and work out where an object needs to be before you're on it.
I think I worked out that a kerb/wall/barrier needs to be about a third of the way from the bottom of the screen to be a 'safe' distance - can't quite remember cos it's been in the shop for a month

Don't you guys just use the front camera when pulling into parking space to prevent your front bumper from hitting?

Same goes with reverse parking - I use the rear camera.

For parallel parking, the overview works great.

I had overview on, but apparently didn't help. It's nice, but not perfect.

It annoys me that the i8 does not have height adjustable suspension. There are places I cannot take it because of its low clearance. Although it is a lot better than my Lotus in this respect.
