Dude, awesome!!

Thanks for posting.

Yeah, this is the color, for sure.

Now about what to do with the interior, that's a different story. Not a fan of this color. Hopefully BMW Individual will be able to do some wonders.

Yes, this is my favorite color so far as well.

Couldnt help commenting on this, but is that 39 l/100 km? Wasn't this supposed to be something like 3l /100 km? Even with very enthusiastic driving ,39 seems very poor mileage .

Nice !
Thanx for posting pics, especially the rear seats. These are a clear representation of what the rear seats look like and give a great sense of their size.....

Awesome looking car.

Is that a picture of a bunny rabbit between the dials?

The interior is very futuristic and modern for a first generation model. CFRP technology will turn out to be a good investment for BMW over the long term.

Does the bunny rabbit icon in the instrument cluster signify it is in eco-friendly mode?

I was told that was the indicator of "current average fuel consumption" and it had been that high because they had high revved the 3-cyl engine in idle several times to present the raw engine sound (@ high revs) to the audience. Therefore such a surrealistic fuel consumption figure since the 3-cyl internal combustion engine had been in use for high-revving only @ that time.

It's not like the fuel consumption is that poor in real life when actually driving the car around. The trip computer had just recored the "current average consumption" during the high-revving episodes. That's it.

Thanks for the explanation, it makes sense .

To be honest I wasn't t aspecting the car to be far off the claimed mileage but was curious how they got that 39.5 l/100 km mileage .

Agree they could look better but with the space back there this seems to be the best arrangement. My kids will fit back there and are probably going to be the only backseat passengers anyway.

Hey Scott26,

Is there any new info you can share regarding
(a) possible European Delivery for the i8
(b) BMW Individual customization, such as different materials and interior colors?

I know there will not be an ED discount but even paying MSRP it would be awesome for US customers to be able to drive the car in Europe for a couple of weeks!

Will any of this info become available with the North American Auto Show debut in LA next week?

The car has 0.3km on the odometer. The mileage is probably not representative yet?

I am pretty sure it has more to do with space maximizing than cost cutting.

Yeah, the seat back is against the firewall for the engine. Not much they could do there.
