$15k for any BMW with warranty remaining is a sweet deal, especially if you can extend the warranty or CPO.
Aside from the quirky looks, if the range is adequate for your application, it's a lot of innovation and premium car without the initial capital price. It will probably continue to depreciate but you're also saving compared to gasoline expenses. I spend a lot of time commuting and it's the best commute car I've owned, so I also factor that enjoyment into the value. For reference, in my ~45k miles the only routine service I've needed was to replace the tires. However I have had multiple warranty repairs during my 2.5 years of i3 driving. I still love this weird ugly i3, my other half still cannot love it. YMMV. |

The i3 is one of the best cars I have ever owned including my F80 M3. But I would not buy one, even used. Technology is getting better and better and the lease deals are pretty good. Depreciation is steep for these cars and your total out of pocket might be more if you buy a CPO than lease a brand new one. Make the calculation and then decide.
