I'm thoroughly excited for the advancements that the industry (mostly Tesla) is making.

If only the design was as impressive as the range.

314 mile range is one thing (100KWh battery in the space used to be occupied by 80KWh battery), but the real kicker is the head turning performance that it enables: 0-60 in 2.5 seconds. That makes P100D the fastest car currently in production (e.g.: LaFerrari did it in 2.4 secs, but is no longer being produced). Granted, 0-60 times do not tell the whole performance story, but it's certainly a remarkable data point:

The fact that we have a large EV sedan taking it to LaFerrari in some performance categories, is just astounding!

Ah yes too true. It truly is amazing, and the fact that these advances are happening at a blinding rate.

Should make for a good competition.
