Charge port opens by itself

More than once after driving the car my charge port has been partially open (say 0,5 cm = 1/4 inch from being flush to the fender) by itself . Has anyone else had this experience?

No. Maybe the "spring" mechanism needs tightening

Had it a few times. I think it my case, it came from not closing it properly. Make sure you really push it all the way in when you close it, so the locking mechanism can fully engage.

Have you ever used the emergency manual pull-cord? Might be worth checking it's not half-pulled or something?

I think that exists only for the fuel door, not for the charging port.

There's one for the charge port as well page 153 of the manual (or thereabouts), there's a little panel you need to remove near the bonnet/hood release panels to get to the cord. Never needed it myself but just a thought. I think it releases the charge cable interlock rather than the charge port door though.

Yesterday I pushed the port very hard to close it and it stayed closed after taking it for a spin. Will see if it happens again, then itīs just another warranty item.
I already know the answer... "Sir, we really canīt replicate the problem..." :-)

The emergency manual cord is , as NGR stated, just for the charging cable interlock.

But that's for the actual plug, in case it doesn't automatically unlock when the car is unlocked. The door itself is just an "IKEA-style" push-lock. It can even be opened when the car is locked. No lock and no unlock mechanism there.
