Sweet. How easy was it to get the badges off? Any tips/things to be wary off to avoid scuffs and scratches to the plastic?

Just use a heat gun and some fishing line. Comes right off.

Debadging is a good idea when you want to run under the radar. But I'm not sure how well that works with an i8.

And as for tinting the rear windows, since safety is paramount for me that's a no go, too. But I suppose some people will spray paint their windows black because it looks good. Because looking good is what driving is all about for them.

I'm planning to tint my windows. Yours looks great. How dark is that tint?

I went full privacy on rear and small rear quarters. Which I think is 80%, and legal on those windows only. I think it really sets the car off, and does not hinder my view or compromise safety, as some people above seem to think.

Looks great. Good to hear I do not need to use a heat gun or hair dryer, I will try the floss. Ignore the trolls! They are lurking everywhere...

How is that being a troll? He's not wrong. Although not necessary, it's much easier with a heat gun. I used it on mine and it allowed pulling off 99% of the tape in one motion, with hardly any residue left.

I agree it looks better debadged. Very tempted to try mine. Anyone else done it, with just dental floss?

Just removed them. Dental floss was working fine. Leavings came off with sticker remover spray. Easy job.

Btw: BMW is charging round about 70 Euro/80 US$ for this simple plastic "edrive" badge!
Had a closer look to it and sorry - the badge does NOT even contain any gold or diamonds.

Anything which reduces the amount of light coming through a window reduces your visibility. This would be especially hinder your visibility at night.

Just sayin'
