The instrument cluster and nav screen look sweet. I keep oscillating as to whether I like this color or not. In these pics, it looks deeper blue (good in my book) than in some others I've seen.
Thanks to my home state of Florida for not requiring front plates, btw - the front looks so much nicer without a plate. Just wish we had EU style plates here because the back of the i8 is much more suited to the long, thin shape vs the more over square shape of the US license plates. Oh, and that dash sticker has to go!!! And those wheels have officially grown on me. I hated them at first, but now I really like them, a lot. One of my favorite things about this car is one of the things that reminds me of the late 90s/early 2000s Beemers - the heavily driver focused cabin, with the angle of the center console and nav screen positioned towards the driver. In many recent models, the dash is more flat and neutral. The i8 reminds me of my old E36 325i insofar as the driver oriented aspect. To clarify, that is the only similarity Looking at the interior, it feels as if the cabin wraps itself around the driver. I could see myself spending a lot if quality time in that cabin on a starry night drive across country backroads... Last edited by ddk632; 03-04-2014 at 11:15 AM.. |
