Downside of owning a dashcam - Seeing morons sit on your car
Smile...you're on camera...and so is your license plate had you dented the hood.

I don't understand why people disrespect others cars like this.
I have zero issue if someone were to stand next to my car, or kneel infront of it for a picture- but to actually sit on it- that's just rude/lack of respect

Interestingly he stood right back up, I think maybe whoever he was with told him to. And joke's on him - hasn't been washed since my trip to LA, so it was very dusty and full of bug guts.

Agree with sugarskills. Many people have no respect for others belongings. I once went to a bar and the next day someone sent me pictures from face book of some girl laying on car. She had her friend take em and posted them. We had a mutual friend but I didn't know her. It's violating.

how do you have a dashcam? ive always thought it was impossible to install it on the i8 as the smokers department (where you charge the dashcam) is so close to the lid that you can't close it if it was plugged in.

Probably hardwired to a power connection like I did with my radar detector. Car audio shops can tap into the fuse box to get power after ignition for devices like that, etc

Probably hardwired, but there's also a cig lighter outlet under the dash in the passenger foot-well pointing downwards. I use it for phone charger as the other one is useless as you say, can't close the lid with anything plugged in!

There are actually some low profile cigarette lighter usb chargers that will fit in the center console slot and still allow it to close.

I have the Blackvue Power Magic Battery Pack plugged into the cig lighter adapter under the glove compartment. Stores a long enough charge to keep it powered and doesn't drain the vehicle's battery (only charges when the car is running).

Well it has a flashing light. I'm pretty sure he realized. I had thought about getting a "smile you're on camera decal".

That's actually true. The i8 has a very lightweight aluminium bonnet, and it would almost certainly buckle or bend. Which is why it needs 2 people to open in, and owners are discouraged from trying to do so. |

I think they have just released the 750S which might be worth looking at. |
