I8 (2014) needs new rear tyres - Help
Hi, I'm picking up a 2014 i8 today and the rear tyres need replacing.
At the moment they've got: • Rear: 245/40 R20 Potenza S001 99W XL As per this article: http://www.bridgestone.eu/corporate/...mw-i8-fitment/ These are the ones they came with but before I just go and replace like with like I just wondered whether there has been an update or a new recommendation for tyre since 2014, as I've read a few stories about these recommended tyres running down quite quickly. Also if anyone has found any good deals for the appropriate tyres in the U.K. please let me know. Appreciate your thoughts |

I've just replaced the rears with exactly those tyres - as fitted originally. I got 15k miles out of the first set, I think the soft compound isn't too much of a problem for UK temperatures in terms of wear.
Some people have reported much less though - would be interesting to know if my theory about soft compound and hot climates causing faster wear is correct.
